Colorado Summer Lovin' - Grace + Andrew Engagement
“Summer lovin’, had me a blast…”
You guys know the song. I don’t even have to finish the line for you to know what song I’m talking about! However, what the song doesn’t mention is how summer lovin’ is best when you live in a beautiful state like Colorado.
This session means so much to me. For one, Grace + Andrew have been my friends for the last few years. Grace and I met at Illinois State when we were both studying music. They rocked the long distance relationship for a looooong time when Andrew moved out to CO 4 years ago and Grace stayed in IL to finish school. I remember Grace posting countdowns online until the next time she could see her love, and them going back and forth between CO + IL to be with each other.
Flash forward…
Grace moved out to Colorado, and her and Andrew have made the sweetest little home together! We were able to get dinner and drinks after our session, and seeing these two together makes my heart so happy. They are so genuinely infatuated with each other that you can’t help but feel the love they have for each other, which honestly is a dream come true for a photographer!
This session is also special to me since this is my first time flying with my camera EVER. I’ve never done a photo session out of state before, and it was definitely one for the books. It’s lit a fire in me to get out and travel more, especially when it comes to couples. Don’t get me wrong, I love my local couples, but there’s something so special about the seclusion and awe of a marvelous location.
I’m beyond grateful for these two, and can’t wait to be there for their big day! This wedding will be a party for the ages and I CANNOT wait!
