Crested Butte Summer Wildflower Elopement

Laura + Jade’s elopement day was something straight out of a fairy tale. Like, actually. Every moment of the day, they were surrounded by stunning views, wildflowers, an alpine lake, and of course, beautiful Colorado mountains.

The morning of their elopement, we met at a local farmer’s market to get a fresh bouquet for Jade. They wandered the stalls, and were able to make their own bouquet together with locally grown flowers. We walked around town, enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the shops, and then it was time to separate for L+J to get ready.

Later, we met back up to share a first look in a field of wildflowers, and it was simply gorgeous. In mid July, the wildflowers are at their peak, so color blanketed the mountains as they shared in an emotional first look. Then it was time to head to a secret alpine lake for the ceremony, picnic, and late night lake swim! Tears, pizza, waaaaay too much cake, and all the laughs were shared for the rest of the evening as Laura + Jade tied the knot officially.

This day was a beautiful reminder that wedding days don’t have to have crazy bells and whistles attached. Having just the two of you in a gorgeous place is really all you need. And pizza, of course you need pizza.
