Mountain Wedding Garden, Crested Butte, Colorado Wildflower Wedding
Ahhhh, Crested Butte. If you know anything about me, or have spent more than 30 seconds on my website or socials, you’ll know that I’ve become something of a local expert in the Crested Butte, Colorado area (even though I live 5 hours away haha). CB is genuinely one of my favorite places in the state, maybe even the country.
Ashley + Brendan were stoked to get married in one of the most majestic times of year in Crested Butte: wildflower season. As they were debating what kind of day they imagined happening, they knew they wanted private time for themselves, but also wanted to gather and party with their people. That’s how we decided that having a private elopement in the morning, followed by a normal wedding day for the rest of the day was going to be the best fit for them.
As the sun rose over the stunning wildflower fields, these two shared a tear-jerking elopement ceremony, with the entire meadow to themselves. Imagine: the birds starting to wake up, bees bouncing between flowers clumsily, and then A+B in the middle of it all, bearing their souls to one another. It was simply magical.
But the rest of the day was just as magical, if you can even imagine! Their wedding day was held at the wonderful Mountain Wedding Garden, one of the most stunning wedding venues you can book in the area. While having a view of meadows upon meadows of wildflowers, they shared a ceremony with all their closest friends and family, ate wonderful food, and danced the night away.
Before the end of the night, we were blessed with the littlest bit of Colorado afternoon rain, which led to… you guessed it… A RAINBOW. Sometimes, your wedding day CAN be flowers and rainbows!
As a Colorado Elopement Photographer, places like these are what make my job so fun. I get to spend time with the most amazing couples, in the most amazing places. I have to pinch myself to this day to make sure this wedding day was real!
