Boho Colorado Lake Intimate Wedding

Bride and groom canoeing on their wedding day

Dreamy Canoe Intimate Wedding

When Alexandra + Grant inquired with me to take their wedding photos at a camp they grew up near, Lex said β€œwe’re the type of people who might just jump in a canoe in our wedding attire!” I don’t really know if she was kidding or not, but it was a part of the plan from the get-go! We wanted to get these two on a lake in their wedding day!

So, after we got these two ready to go, we set up their first look on the dock to the lake, including saying hey to their puppies too! It was a HOT day (like, 95 degrees!!!) so we tried to stay in the shade as much as humanly possible. We got them into the canoe (with the help of Lex’s MOH who was the MVP!) with towels to sit on, and slid them into the lake. And WOW, was it just magical! My favorite things for couples to do on their wedding day is something that is SO uniquely them. For these two, since they are so outdoorsy and love nature, it was a given that they HAD to incorporate that into their day!

After letting them canoe around the lake for a bit and grabbing allll the photos, it was time to get them ready for their ceremony. Their decor and florals screamed boho forest dreamland, and it was SO gorgeous. The octagon arch was topped of with boho flowers, and rugs down the aisle made this set up a gorgeous bohemian ceremony site.

The rest of the day was such a beautiful blur from the canoe drink holder, the neon signs, the delicious wedding cake, and alllllll the dancing! I am so grateful for these two to have invited me along for their wedding day!
