Nicole + Aaron’s elopement day was one for the books. I know, I know, I say that a lot. But like, THIS elopement day?! It’s in the book of ALL books. These two didn’t settle for anything less than exactly what they wanted to do on their elopement day. This includes an alpine lake ceremony, jeeping to a trailhead, hiking to a picnic spot, getting pizza for dinner, and then topping it off with an airplane tour of the area the following morning. Talk about an ADVENTURE!
These two chose to elope in the mountains surrounding Crested Butte, Colorado, one of my personal favorite locations in the state. They eloped during wildflower season, and took a wildflower filled hike after their ceremony to take in the views. After hiking about 4 miles, it was time to get some pizza to cap off the day.
Fast forward to the next morning; the airplane tour. They chose Red with On the Fly Aviation airplane tour company, and she could not have been a more knowledgeable, thorough, and friendly. She even let us take portraits with the plane before we went up in the air, which was so fun!
Since Nicole + Aaron booked my full day elopement package, we were able to take our time exploring all day. No need for rushing between places to try to fit everything into a tight timeline. We were able to relax, enjoy the views, and do any and all adventuring we could think of. It’s one of the biggest reasons I suggest booking all-day coverage for your elopement day. Time flies by way faster than you think it’s going to, and having a relaxed pace all day is the key to having a stress-free wedding day.
As a Colorado Elopement Photographer, I love getting the chance to travel to some of Colorado’s most beautiful hidden gems, and get to explore my state from all different points of view. This was my first airplane elopement, and I can’t wait to convince more couples to do this incredible adventure!
