Crested Butte, Colorado is one of the dreamiest elopement destinations in all of Colorado! Any season here seems to bring its own level of beauty. From crazy aspens colors in the fall, to an explosion of wildflowers in the summer, Crested Butte is one of the best places to elope in Colorado. Crested Butte is known as the wildflower capitol of Colorado for a reason! Just take a look at these amazing blooms and you’ll see for yourself!
J + B chose to elope in the summertime just as the lupines were blooming. This may be one of the best times to get married on the western slope in CO because of how many landscapes are poppin’ with wildflowers. After a sweet first look at their AirBNB, we drove to Peanut Lake for their ceremony. With Mount Crested Butte standing overhead and the Gunnison National Forrest mountain views beyond, these two shared an intimate ceremony with a handful of family and friends. After the ceremony, the 3 of us went on a wildflower adventure to get some photos in the most beautiful wildflowers any of us had ever seen.
This day was so beyond special, and I absolutely loved being a part of this beautiful elopement day in the Colorado mountains! As a Colorado Elopement Photographer, I love getting the chance to travel to the state’s weirdest and wildest places to take the most breathtaking of photos, and Crested Butte did NOT disappoint!
