Ouray, Colorado Off-Roading Jeep Elopement
Ouray may very well be my favorite elopement location EVER. I was so fortunate to be able to shoot there multiple times this year and I just have to say, I saw a different season every time I went! This summer time Jeeping elopement was one of the most memorable elopements to date, and I am so excited to share all the beauty with you!
Carrie + Kelvin traveled all the way from Chicago, IL to elope in the San Juan Mountain range in August (one of the best times of year to elope in CO). There are so many gems in this general area that it was almost hard to pick the best location. Between Telluride, Ouray, Silverton, Ridgeway, and Durango, there are an IMMENSE amount of beautiful locations to travel to. So, these two decided to let someone else take the wheel (literally). They did a Jeep tour with Alpine Scenic Tours in Ouray, CO, and it was one of the best recommendations I have for couples that don’t want to worry about driving on their day but still want to see a lot. We experienced a little bit of everything, from gushing waterfalls, crazy blue Gatorade color alpine lakes, and of course the stunning mountain range.
C + K had such a laid back yet adventurous elopement day, topped off with hiking to a waterfall and having a picnic in a mountain valley. The vows they shared next to the stunning alpine lake were tear-jerking, and the day could not have gone more perfectly.
After our adventures, we returned to their cabin rental and had some dinner, cake, and drinks while watching the moon come out. It was a spectacular way to end an adventurous day, and this summer elopement lives rent free in my head!
