Moody Fall Ouray, Colorado Elopement
Sometimes, Colorado isn’t always the most sunny state out there. It’s VERY rare to have a complete washout of a day, where it rains non-stop all day, or is even cloudy all day. We happened to get one of those cloudy days that come with the fall weather up in the mountains. This day felt a LOT more like the PNW than Colorado. I went home and watched Twilight immediately (obviously).
Sam + Ashley had the most sweet elopement day in Ouray, Colorado, which is in the San Juan mountain range on the western slope of Colorado. The breathtaking views in this mountain range are some of the most epic you will see, not only in Colorado, but in your lifetime. We started their elopement prepping for their ceremony by getting their pups in ties. They looked so dapper! Such wonderful little gentlemen! We then hiked down to a river crested by gorgeous towering mountains overhead, and beautiful fall colors in every direction. As they said their vows next to the beautiful gushing river, I couldn’t believe how amazing of a view this was.
After finishing their ceremony and exploring the area, we headed to a gorgeous aspen grove nearby to have a picnic with their 2 dogs. The snacked on charcuterie, champagne, and cuddled with their pups. Once they finished their picnic, we wanted to explore in the moody mountain setting, so we did some adventuring in the rainy landscape.
Sam + Ashley’s elopement was absolutely one for the books. From dapper doggos, to moody rain, to hanging out with the two most spectacular ladies, I am so blessed I was able to tag along for their adventure!
