Aspen, Colorado Mountain-Top Elopement
Aspen, Colorado mountain-top elopement
If you’ve been considering eloping in Aspen, Colorado, consider this as your sign to DO IT! This elopement truly had everything an elopement day should; adventure, intimacy, emotion, friendship, and PUPS! That’s right, these two brought their dogs with them to their mountain-top elopement! Let’s recap all of the amazing things these two did on their Aspen, Colorado Snowmass elopement day, and why you should too!
Caroline + Mitchell live in Aspen, Colorado, and started their wedding day by walking downtown to the courthouse to get officially married at the Aspen courthouse. To learn more about eloping at the courthouse, click here! Once they finished their appointment, they went home, got all dolled up in their elopement attire, and we walked downtown to some of their favorite spots. We walked through the beautiful parks and scenic downtown to get to the famous Aspen Gondola, where we rode to the top of the mountain. On the gondola, these two shot down a quick drink before heading on our short hike to their ceremony location.
The wonderful thing about eloping in Aspen in the winter is that most of the traffic will be on the ski slopes. However, not many people go beyond the restaurant deck or hit the trails, so we had the entire area completely to ourselves. There was not a person in sight, so these two could really share an intimate vow reading in peace without worrying about by-standers. It was absolutely magical.
Finally, after declaring themselves OFFICIALLY married, they got to celebrate their own way! They popped some champagne, lit up a joint, and played with their pups in the snow. It was honestly once of the most intimate and freeing elopements I’ve been a part of, and I can’t wait to get out to Aspen again for more elopements like this one!
