Garden of the Gods, Colorado Boho Elopement
Garden of the Gods in Colorado springs
is THEEEE places to get eloped. Oh my goodness y’all, I could go ON & ON about these two and how absolutely sweet and special their elopement day was! What a freaking treat to get to spend the afternoon walking around the gorgeous Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. We ran into close to no one on the trails we took, which was exactly what they wanted! I always recommend my couples get eloped on a weekday, ESPECIALLY when they’re eloping in a state or national park where people visit frequently.
After their ceremony with hand written vows that made us ALL cry, we started exploring the park a bit more. We started at High Point Overlook, and made our way over to Three Graces Plaza, where Sam + Dalton shared their first dance! Some people wonder if traditional events can take place on elopement days, like the first dance or cake cutting, but they ABSOLUTELY can (and should)! Take a look at my blog Top 9 Elopement Day Activities to get more ideas of elopement day activities to include in your elopement!
!Next, we made our way over to Siamese Twins, where we hiked around the area and got to explore during sunset. Now, Colorado usually is famous for its 300 days a year of sunshine, but today was one of the cloudy days we experience every once in a while. So while we didn’t get that epic Colorado sunset, we still got to enjoy the beautiful views to ourselves with no one else around.
At Balanced Rock, these two wanted to partake in a letter reading where they read letters from their family members. This is a GREAT way to help your family members feel included in your elopement day, especially if you’re eloping from out of state. This is one of the activities also a part of my blog post Top 9 Elopement Day Activities!
All in all this day was absolutely MAGICAL. This elopement in the Colorado mountains made my heart so happy, and I can’t wait to share these photos with you!
